What is USANT?

The U.S. Alumni Network in Tajikistan (USANT) is a program funded by the U.S. Embassy Public Diplomacy Section (PDS) in Dushanbe and implemented to support and strengthen the community of alumni of U.S. government-funded and U.S. government-sponsored exchange programs in Tajikistan. Since its launch in 2019, USANT has served as a national platform that connects alumni, encourages collaboration, and helps members transform ideas into meaningful projects and partnerships.

USANT brings together more than 7,000 alumni across Tajikistan who share a commitment to leadership, community engagement, professional growth, and stronger ties between Tajikistan and the United States. The network helps alumni build on the shared intellectual, social, cultural, and democratic values of the people of Tajikistan and the United States through cooperation, dialogue, and action.

Our purpose

USANT was created to help alumni connect, grow, and implement their ideas in ways that benefit their communities and strengthen the alumni network nationwide. Through both online and in-person engagement, the platform enables alumni to communicate, interact, exchange knowledge, and contribute their experience and expertise to common goals.

Our objectives

USANT advances its mission through several core objectives:

• Supporting the development and engagement of regional chapters in GBAO, Sughd, Khatlon, and the Districts of Republican Subordination.

• Strengthening alumni connections through online and face-to-face platforms that encourage communication, collaboration, and shared learning.

• Facilitating a national Alumni Mentorship Program that helps alumni support one another and guide the next generation of leaders.

• Creating opportunities for alumni to collaborate on projects, share expertise, and contribute to the social and professional development of their communities.

USANT was established to help alumni stay connected, continue learning, and turn ideas into action. By joining the network, alumni gain access to a community of peers, opportunities for collaboration, and a platform for sharing knowledge, skills, and experience across Tajikistan.
